Monologue.  What's a monologue?

Another area of ministry available through "No Strings Attached" is the presentation of "Monologue Dramas" on the lives of biblical and historical characters. Some of these include:

"The Innkeeper's Dream" A Christmas drama from the perspective of the Innkeeper in Bethlehem. This is a 25 minute drama with plenty of humor that is suitable for Christmas banquets, etc. Written by David Shelton

"We're with Him" Written by Curt Cloninger
This is a 2 character drama, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother talks about his brother Simon, and the Thief on the Cross talks about "the man in the middle" from Paradise. In between, Carl does a chalk drawing to tie the stories together.   Approx. 40 minutes

"Stand in the Gap" Written by Carl Ens
The Story of Rees Howells Intercessor...A call to Intercessory prayer! Rees was called by God to intercede for those who came to Christ during the Welsh Revival. Five characters tell this story from different perspectives.
* This drama would work well for a prayer conference, etc. Carl would need some lead time to prepare for this one.
The drama is approx. 1.5 hours in length

"Such a Boy" Written by Carl Ens
These area a collection of Characters who talk about what it must have been like to know Jesus "as a boy" The Innkeeper, James, Jesus' half brother, Naomi the gossip from Nazareth, and Eli the Synagogue Rabbi, all combine to tell a compelling story of Jesus!
Approx. 45 min. in length

"Bridge of Blood" Compiled by Carl Ens
This is the story of Jim Elliott and the other 4 missionaries who were martyred by the Auca Indians in Ecuador. Carl presents the 5 men with slides from their lives in the background, and their favorite hymns run between the characters.  Would work great for a missions conference. Approx. 1.5 hours in length for all 5 characters, but Carl does a 45 min. version with just Jim Elliott's character.

*Carl would need lead time with this presentation as well.
The Rabbi from Tarsus: The Life of Paul the Apostle...Written by Philip Goble
In this drama, Paul is in prison in Rome at the end of his life, looking back over his life. He is having a conversation with Dr. Luke [who the audience can't see]
This is also a major drama approx. 1.5 hrs. in length and Carl would lead significant lead time to prepare for it.
